Root stuck on clockworkmod recovery screen

i got a lg optimus v from a friend said her borfriend tried to foot it but screwed up now the phone is stuck on the clockworkmod recovery screen.there were no files on the sd card so there is no back up and ive tried just about everything i know and it wont take it will unpack says its installed and once it reboots bam boots to the recovery screen again ahahahhhh i need some help is there anyone who might be of assistance

Sounds like you're stuck in a recovery loop....
