Root Stuck on Evo 4g Boot screen

I rooted months and months ago and have not done a darn thing since. Sorta lost and can't seem to come up with anything in order to fix this.

Thoughts on where to go? No insurance on the phone.

Can you get to recovery from the bootloader? Do you have a nandroid you can restore if your recovery is intact?
 
able to get it to boot up now after some time but seems the digitizer is broken? Touch screen is not working. Could it be the screen? or the digitizer?

My charging light does not light up either.
 
Sounds like you have a hardware failure. Without insurance, you may have to pay full price to get it fixed. You might need to unroot it and take it in to a sprint service store and see if they can look at it
 
I used unrevoked about 5 months ago to root my Evo. Everything was fine perfect, did it with the help of some random guy. Yesterday I upgraded -- ok downgraded to the Moto XPRT, as I could never get use to the touch screen keyboard, and wanted a blackberry keyboard without having to use Blackberry OS.

I think my Evo is mad at me...

Other than doing this upgrade and using the little cellebrite machines they use to transfer contacts (at sprint and bestbuys), I put it on airplane mode to keep it from telling me it my data service wasnt working (duh deactivated). But I did not make any changes as far as changing ROMs. The phone worked fine for about 2-3 hours after all of this

So now I am at the boot screen which I am slightly familiar with having switched ROMs a few times thru here, then I realized I had the app to do it for me. However the volume buttons dont work, so I cannot (or dont know how to) do a recovery from a backup or data wipe.

And I wouldn't mind doing a full restore losing everything, because I plan on giving this phone to my little brother anyway.
