Root Stuck on Evo 4G White Screen

I recently rooted my phone and I tried installing a new rom. However when I went to reboot the screen just stays on the boot screen. I tried using the PCIMG36.zip and that has not worked. Any ideas?

what PC36IMG file did you use?
what rom did you try to flash?
what recovery are you using?
what did you wipe before flashing?
how long were you waiting on the white screen? most roms can take a while to boot up. it took almost 40 mins to boot up with the synergy rom.

I didnt know there were different ones
I wiped user data and cache
I waited about 20 minutes, I'm trying supra v1.5 now

1.the PC36IMG file is kind of generic. it can be a bunch of different tyoes of files. do you have a link for it?
2.mikg2.51 is just a patch for mikg2.5. it is not a full rom
3.there is clockwork mod, amon ra 2.3, and the new one TRWP by teamwin. what color is your recovery?
4.you need to wipe data, dalvik cache and cache. this is probably the reason you are having issues. read the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html. there is a flshing section. follow the intsructions there and you should not have any issues.
5.not sure on what supra v1.5 is. do you have a link for that rom?

I don't have any of the links, I've been looking all over for things so I kind of lost them. Is there a pc36imp file that you would recommend? its green. Ill try those instructions and let you know. Thanks for your help.

well the PC36IMG file can be used for a lot of things. it can be used to change your bootanimation or splash screen. it can also be used to switch recoveries. you can install roms (well at least 2 that i know of) by using the file.

so you need to slow down and make sure that you know what you are doing to your phone. that is why this forum can be very helpful.

so if you said the lettering is green then you most likely have amon ra2.3

i'm curious though on the supra v1.5 is that a rom?
