Wow, you are joking, right? You wait a full few hours for a response to your question and conclude the website sucks? (I suppose you are less demanding than that other guy a few posts back who put in his phone number and asked for immediate telephone support from total strangers.)
First of all, you do not need the MEID locations and to zero them out, etc. Find the guide mentioned on here regarding the Evo 3D. You can do the Evo 4G the same way and save time. I don't know why that method is not in the tutorial on page 1 here.
Anyway, it involves opening EFS file explorer (which you have already when you downloaded QPST). You need to put in the MSL of the phone. If it is rooted already, you can just download MSL reader from the Android Market. When the phone is read in EFS file explorer you simply right click on the main folder and create a new one called /open sesame door (exactly as I have just written it with the slash, the spaces and all) Reboot the phone, restart EFS and you will see a new folder called nvm/num and you simply drag items 0 and 1943 to the desktop, edit those with a hex editor to make them all zeros and then delete the ones in the folder and drag back the zeroed copies from the desktop. Then go to QXDM and write your MEID. If you screw up or want to change to another MEID/ESN all you need do do is go back into the EFS, delete items 0 and 1943 and drag your zeroed ones from the desktop again. You can do this as many times as you like and when you get the hang of it, it will take a couple of minutes instead of the better part of an hour you will spend looking up memory locations and doing it the other way. Plus, you do not have to worry about the 0's "sticking" which appears to be your issue. And this works with any radio version you are currently using, so you do not need to flash to older radios just to match a list of MEID locations, nor do you have to use a hex editor to search for MEIDs and ESN's.
EDIT: On a related note for those still using the zeroing method you are trying, two other points. First, I recall that it turns out you do not have to zero out all the MEID locations, but only the two last ones. Some refer to these as the master locations. Next, there is a radio floating around out there that can be flashed which automatically has all zeros for the MEID. You simply flash that radio, write a new MEID/ESN, then flash another radio to use. Leaving both zip files on your SD card, you can write a new MEID every two minutes if you'd like. Then ##786# will reset the phone and Sprint/Boost will download the matching phone number, MSID, and all other info to your phone. The nai will even reflect who that MEID-PHONE number combo belongs to. However, do not even bother to try to commit fraud with this as Sprint is onto it and will not allow calls (Error 17). Nor will Sprint send a valid AAA password via this method, so you will not be able to use data either. Just FYI for those experimenting with Auto Activation.
Also, for all those suggesting Samsung Prevail as a donor, bear in mind you cannot use pay per minute and will have to pay for the monthly plan on Boost as well as the extra Android fee. The Sanyo Incognito is the ONLY donor I know of where you can go on a daily plan with the Evo and get 3G EVDO Rev. A speeds.
So, does this website still suck?
