Root Stupid question time!

Rooted yesterday, wondering if milestone and setcpu could work against each other? I ran a benchmark of 1426 yesterday and today its at 945 or something?

I removed setcpu, and overclock widget and posted 1550.

I'm reading into custom roms right now, just a bit freaked out.

Be sure you make a backup, using the Droid X Bootstrap app, before you install any roms. that way you have a backup that you can restore if you happen to run into problems.

Yeah, I'm just wondering if it would even benefit me that much to install a rom.

It is fun to install a ROM, when someone sees you using your phone that has a Droid they always ask what is that! Read a bunch and ask a bunch of questions!

it would benefit you in so many ways trust me and just like jlewis74 said its fun ...I honestly would go crazy if I had to stay stock ....when I use other friends x that's not rooted rom or oc its like a different device ...trust us ..once you rom its another world

Benchmark of 945! Most people can think and calculate faster than that. LOL. You need to root, flash a ROM and overclock. See what happens when your Benchmark is 1700+. No Lag, no stutter. Once rooted always rooted. I decided about two weeks ago to go stock, root and not flash a ROM just to see what it was like. Lasted about 30 minutes. The phone was pathetic compared to what I had become accustomed too.
