Root Stupid SBF Question

Do you keep the SBF file on your PC or on your SD card on the phone? I believe you can flash it either way but what's the easiest and what do most people do?

I am not bricked, just wanting to be prepared as I was on the brink of needing to flash last night. A golden battery pull saved my ass, whew!

TIA!

You keep it on your PC ..it works with rsd which together in short reflash back to normal....it does no good on your SD .....lets say you are bricked and can't access your SD through your device..
.now how would you get to the sbf to flash? On PC my friend
..

Cool! Thanks man! Yeah I got RSD as well so with the instrux I am good to go.

Not sure how many golden battery pulls one can get, my guess is, not many LOL!

I created a post here with troubleshooting recommendations that I have found scattered across the forums. You may need to be prepared for a problem when trying to flash due to a memory bug in RSDLite.

Thanks, I'm running Vista so does it apply? Sometime soon it will either way as I hate Vista and am upgrading computers so will be on Win 7 soon.

It is always best to have some info ready in case of a problem. It can take a while to search for fixes.

I have vista and have not had any problems but I know others have
..be sure to consult GregTards guide just in case

I see you are on the new rubiX. How do you like it so far? I had used 0.3 and 1.0 but went back to Tranq for the hotspot app and I didn't have time to redo my theme for rubiX, but I am installing 1.8.6 now since it has the hotspot app now.
