Help Suggest me a better app to capture high quality videos

hi..i m currently using the native camera app to capture videos...video quality is very good...but the audio is crap...i was recording a live concert...not exactly a concert though...live music performance...the video turned out very good but the audio really sucked...

since the phones mic is the only source...i would like to know if there is an app that can record good quality videos with decent sound...is there any better app than the native camera app for video recording...i know vignette but that doesnt help.

do suggest me an alternative...need to record another music performance tomm night....(i wish i had a good camcorder )

Have yet to find a good video app but try two things...switch to the h264 codec in settings....and hold the cam without obstructing/ shieldind the mic. Made a world of difference in my recordings

thanx...will give it a shot...btw i was thinking of using my headphones for the mic purpose..and switching to h264 will not allow me to record at 720p..i don mind that if the audio is good

the picture is actually better as well. try it out. until they support h264 on the 720 setting the other will be better


let me know how using the headphones works out...never really thought about that one!

^^ hey i tried h264 codec...not much change during daylight recordings but at night it makes hell lot of difference...mpeg4 delivers better results at night with better light correction and still images(less noise seen on recordings)..Also, h264 tends to drop frames many a times and regarding the sound..there is marginal difference and h264 outputs better...but if u only look at video quality then mpeg4 delivers best !

and yea...headphones do a better job but u need to keep them close to the sound source(in my case d source was speaker...i just kept it on the speaker and woah less background noise and less haziness)
but be it headphones or inbuilt mic...evo sucks at video recordings with sound...they seriously need to work on it...whats the point of havin an 8mp camera and poor os which cannot output decent audio on recordings.....comeon android get us better codecs for audio recordings

interesting results. from everything I have read, mpeg4 is a far inferior codec.
