Root Suggestion for People Having Battery Life Problems

I installed the BatteryCalibration app from the Marketplace and ran it on my Ascend a few days ago. Since then I've noticed that when I get home my battery is at about 70% compared to 50 to 55% prior to me using the app. I really suggest you try this app and hope it works for you like it has for me. Before running the app, though, you must have your phone charged to 100%

Accually this is recommended each time you flash a new ROM.
 
There's another way. Get full charge, boot into cwm, then clear battery stats. Then run your phone until it dies. Then it's calibrated.
