Suggestions for a rugged Droid handset...

Afternoon Droidos,

can i ask for some help...?? I ahev a customer that is asking for Droid devices that they want to use in a heavy environment - as such they would like either a ruggedised device or a Droid that can take a knock and maybe stick it in a case. Price is important to them and the devices are being handed out to ordinary employees so will not need high-end/wizz-bang devices.

So can anyone give me a steer on a ruggedised Droid device or maybe a mid-level droid handset that can be used with ruggedised cover...??

Your best bet would be a phone wrapped in a rugged case. The Otterbox Defender series is extremely rugged and is designed to protect the phone from very heavy abuse.

I don't think you're going to find any phone that is built rugged (like a Panasonic Toughbook, for example).

the Defy is probably the only device I've found so far...just wondered if anyone knew any other, perhaos non-major brand devices that would fit the bill...
