Super Awesome Battery Killer!

So I was happily lying in bed watching Netflix when the screen went black, and the phone was dead. After performing a battery pull with no result, I feared I had killed my new best friend, until I also plugged it back in.

It turns out, watching Netflix over 4G LTE with the screen pretty bright will cause the battery to die, even when the phone is plugged in on an AC charger! If there's anything this proves, it's that you can cause your phone to drain battery faster than it can charge, lowering your battery life to less time than it took to charge it. Isn't that super fantastic?

lol that is pretty funny i wondering if the other 4g phones have the same problem (i hope so! lol) have you heard of anything testing the extended 3000mh battery? i was thinking about picking it up

im not gonna watch netflix on my phone im gonna use wifi tether to steam it to my xbox so i can watch netflix on my tv lol

Now would be a great time to get the extended battery. Just came from a Verizon store this morning and it was 50% off. Rep. said it was a special.

The battery was $25 plus tax.

Now to find a damn holster that will fit it.

I don't use any holsters or cases, and I've been seriously considering getting that battery. My battery life is already pretty good, but it would be really great with that. If it's 50% off, I'm sold. I guess I'm going to the Verizon store after class today!

I should clarify though. When I plugged in my phone it was already like 15% left. I watched for about an hour plugged into AC before it was overwhelmed.

Yeah, I just got the extended battery in from ordering online - got the same price break. It does add some thickness to your phone, but its very well worth it. It came 45% charged, so I am charging it to 100% and see what kind of life I can get out of it for the next few days.

Navigation can do this too. The charger makes a big difference, cheapo usb ones usually only charge at 500 ma, a 1 amp one should work a lot better.

I have it and the extra thickness is not a problem for me. It's a matter of preference. When you first pop it in, the phone seems like a honker but it's easy to get used to.
