Help Superpad 2 Flytouch 3 firmware update-Official Releases

i have a 10.2 flytouch (CLONE) i think....... everything is good except only get free apps on the market.but my main issues is watching movies on it. i have over 30 movie clips but only 1 works.i put them on my 32gig sd card but no joy.i hve tried all the recommend players..mobo player etc.i have converted the files into numerous differnt formats avi,wmv,.
its crazy the one that is working is excellent 720p quality.
will updateing/flashing solve this.

Hi! I tried to flash my Flytouch 3 and my kid pop out my SD card!I got the tablet vibrating !I tried reset !nothing! wont start ........ any sugestions? Thanks!

Don't worry about clone or fake, you have a disco model so all is not that bad, hopefully you have a model that is at least working ok, and you have nothing to lose by updating to a new rom, which enhances the usability of the machine.

But, you will have to read the thread where the rom was developed for and where all the answers have been posted, only reading the first or last page will not be sufficient either - it is a lengthy read but well worth it in the end if you want to maximise your tablet, read it all and then download the rom and install it:

My info is Model Number: P041 Android Version: 2.2 v2.6:#4402 Kernal Version: 2.6.32.9 Root@localhost #48 Build Number: FRF85B

I am trying to put a SDHC card on my tablet so I can download music and have more space, it said that it came with 512mb Ram and 4GB of Hard drive space but in the info it only says it has 2GB and only 417MB are available to use, it says insufficient space when I try and download a song, idk how to update the system either, can anyone give me the best reccommendation for what I should do to have my tablet running good with more space on it, I have a 4GB PNY SDHC Card for it please help thanks,

First of all I have a 8GB so my number will reflect that. Yes about that I was wondering the same about the ram but it seems all android devices are like that and asked in here too and what people told me was that some of the ram is taken by the system and does not show. As I looked it more and more I kind of realized that its probably how much space from the internal SD card is given as ram. As for the 8GB, 2GB are taken by the system. If you look at the top of the info screen it says Total space which is 7.34, the Application space is pretaken for just all the apps you install in the tablet just so you wont fill it up and then not have space for the apps. And the last is the User space which is what you have left. Now if you add all three application, user and system space you will get about what the total space is. So maybe that how much it was just given for the ram but I am not sure.

You can add your 4gb sdhc card but I do not understand what you mean more space. The only reason I use my external card is to save media on it that take too much space. The applications do not take much space.
 
I have attempted to install the updated firmware for my android superpad flytouch 3 disco version, without any luck. I have followed all of the steps provided in previous posts, and after inserted my newly formatted SD with the unzipped files transferred to it from my pc, I cannot get the files to open! I have tried this numerous times, and it still does not work. Someone PLEASE help!!!
 
Are you making sure that you power your FT3 completely OFF, and then Power on the unit?

If so, what happens when you power on your unit? Does it just boot up to the existing ROM?

Has anyone upgraded the firmware of Flytouch to Tim5a and has the camera works?
After I upgraded the firmware, everything works fine except for the camera, it no longer works now. How can I make it works again. Any help would be appreciated
 
the problem in my device is when i install something OR uninstall something, when i restart my device all the things i installed are NOT THERE. and things i uninstalled are still there ready to work. its like my device was deep freezed! whenever i save things on it, after a restart, all the things i saved, installed, uninstalled and even my game stats are not save.. so i need to redo it again..

i already tried to factory reset it by pressing the power button plus menu button, but its just doing a recovery process, which still doesn't help. before i used those buttons to factory reset my device. now its not functioning.

another thing i did to try to fix it, i tried to upgrade its firmware to 20110712_Tim5a, but after a successful upgrade.. when i removed the microSD card and turn-on the device. holy F*ck my device is still back to its freaking state like NOTHING HAPPEN..


PLEASE HELP GUYS.. :mad:

Your internal SD card is corrupt.

It does sound like your internal tf card is corrupted and has gone read only. If the tablet is rooted you might want to have a read here

i just rooted my device using z4root, but i only rooted it temporarily because if i will root it permanently, it needs to restart.

now its rooted, where can i find the terminal to type the command line \system\bin\fsck_msdos -y \dev\block\vold\179:17?

dart16, my device is rooted temporarily and installed a terminal emulator to type those commands.. but it says permission denied.. please let me know what is wrong.. thanks man..
 
In terminal type su then enter just to verify root. Download and install root explorer. Then browse to your system directory and chose mount r/w at the top of the screen. If it doesn't work and the command from terminal are coming back permission refused you probably have a corrupt partition. You can replace the internal card, remove the internal card and try repartitioning it with Easeus then reflash, or just try a new flash and see if that works.

The actual tools to open the pad can be bought on Amazon for a couple of bucks and there are some good tuts online with pics to open it. If it is still under warranty yopu may want to contact the vendor. More hssle but less risk than opening your tablet.

Just recieved my ibex 32Gb SP2 FT3 - very pleased with it so far (thanks to all the posts on here that made me choose this one :D ).

Now I've actually got my new shiney tablet I'd like to ask a question:
Reading all the posts and this and other fora I'd like to try out the new Flanflinger FunnyComb version of Tim's 5a ROM.
Obvously, if I brick it it's down to me, but I'd like to be able to restore it to "factory" condition if I need to return it for some reason. How can I save an image of my current ROM? (Might also be useful to Tim, TCH et al.)

But - the situation has NOT changed, Ibex FT3 with that firmware date is ok to flash, other tablets from other suppliers will need verification from that supplier that it will work, do not take anybody's word posted on the internet - always check with supplier before flashing as warranty may be an issue, an important issue for some.

Thanks flc4ever, good to hear the TIM5a should work.
As you rightly say, warranty issues would be my problem ;-)

Does anyone know how I could take an image of the factory ROM? Or is there an image of the 20110803 already available? I'm a bit of an Android noob, so please bear with me as I learn.

As at today there is no way to create an image of your system, the ability to do that via something like clockworkmod to make a nandroid image is eagerly awaited by us all.

There are older stock roms over at apad.tv, the official support forum for Ibex FT3s, go there and ask your questions and get the assurances you are looking for over your warranty if you do choose to flash to tim5a or FFFC.

Sorry - none of tim or funnycomb will ever work on a P041.

Was working very fine all angy birds ,youtube videos wifi etc. Till i happend to press the reset bottom below due to some minor reason so thAT PROBLEM COULD BE SOLVED. BUT I LOST FLASH10. In infotm launched i couldnt see myy installed apps though i can see in launcher pro. Tried to install flash 10 but couldnt see. Installed launcher pro in which i can see mmy installed apps but couldnt play angry birhds nor youtube.
And now Infotm launcher too not working only i could see task bar.

I rooted the machine with z4 root wth the procedure provided

Please guide me the procedue to hard reset or flash the machine with correct procedure and correct firmware with flash 10 and you tube working and make my machine as good as previous . Thanks
