Root Superuser gone wild

downgrade

Newbie
My superuser has lost it, completely!!

I had a small hickup during my first rom flash to CYM7 but nothing out of the ordinary. For some reason superuser retired on me I wanted to update and it stalled, so downloaded the superuser update fixer. This changed the icon and I am on v.2.3.6 (this was last week). Now other problems has started

1) I can't check for binary updates
2) I can not update from the market - if I do I loose root access
3) My current version keeps asking for permissions - I just tried TI backup and i was on rapid fire on the allow button, it kills me everytime i need root access

I found solutions to the individual parts but not all three together.

Any help?

you need to be s-off to update superuser
for your other issues

make a nandroid backup
flash rom over the top without wiping. should replace superuser and its binaries with the working ones

I am S-OFF trying to flash rom again - will see what the outcome is

Worked like a charm =]

Is it OK to update superuser now from the market as there was some issue with it before wasn't there?

Not sure if the one on the market is all that stable. I tried and it caused more issues than it was worth, as you see above I had to reflash the rom to correct the issue. Try updating the binaries from within super user that should do the trick
