SweeterHome2 Beta

Seriously there's no 1.5 support for this? I've really been looking forward to trying it out on my Eris, but when it says 1.6, it means 1.6. Bah :(

Not before. I thought the instructions said to after installing?

It is after you install.

This is really an awesome app. I am trying to figure out better ways to organize mine, as this gives you so many options, it is hard to decide. It is fun setting it up and using. No problems yet.

I like Home++, but it has slowed down my Droid considerably. Do I want to make the switch. In other words, Home++ or Sweeter Home?

Well I have also been waiting for this for weeks or more now and was so excited to see this thread, followed the link , installed it , played with it for a few but it was lagging terribly so I rebooted my Droid and now I cant get past the boot screen. This sucks. Anybody else having this problem?

Actually it does boot, I can hear all my notifications and the LED is flashing I can even make the slide to unlock motion and in vibrates like it unlocks the the screen is stuck on the pulsing eye....

Dude, are you running a custome ROM. Did you get the correct APK (the 2.0+ one)?

Very smooth and fast, although one FC. But....too freaking complicated! LOL. As I said in the other thread, I guess I'm just not willing to spend that much time on it. If someone comes out with some better pre-made "themes" then I might re-install it.

:) that's the whole point. It's only been out for about 10 hours. If you don't want to learn to make themes, you can just DL someone else's... once there are some more up of course. :D

It's very hard. Especially since you cannot move forward or backwards the widgets or shortcuts that are tied to a menu.

It's interesting, but something needs to be done with the interface in order to create screens more efficiently

But love how it uses the real estate, very good in that aspect.

Another beef that I have with it, is that the list of applications, I could only select a few of them, most of the time it asked me if I wanted to add something to the screen

Running it on 2.1. The ability to not be able to efficiently create widget space, or make a simple app show up on the homescreen is killing me. Deleted it for now, I will try again when I develop enough patience. Had to pop two advil because of the minimalistic theme, even tohugh I want to give it another shot.

downloaded it, played with it, LOVE IT!!!! I'm using the Minimalist theme right now and customizing some of my touch in there...it's been really fun. Hope this won't be that expensive when it's out in the market.

P.S.
IMO the only way to learn how to use SH is by playing with the themes they got available. I already learned tons of stuffs!

Lemon, or anyone else, is there a way to make widgets animate like they are supposed to. For example, beautiful vibrate should flip the handle and change the color of the light when activated. Another example, Pure calender grid should change months when you click the first or last days. So far they do not do this. It may be a bug, may be a setting I am missing.

Edit: Odd, but some of them started working, others...not so much.

Edit 2: All are working for now.

Its confusing me. I'm runnning on 2.1 successfully. However I'm having a problem with the Live Wallpapers playing fair with it. This is where I began..

So far I'm..eh..Not too far ahead. :-)

Attempting to get more...maybe get some more REGULAR apps on the screen... All I've changed so far is the wallpaper and the widget. I wanted to put Beautiful Widgets at the top, and drop "settings from the bottome, but I like the news and weather better from 2.1. So far its.. eh..okay. Three screens from what I've used. Retail space is.."eh."... Still prefer my 5 screens on 2.1 launcher but I'm just playing with this for the day. Figured some might want to know..

anyone figure how to get the application's icon's size to be the same size as the custom tray block? or how do i add just one application to a springboard

There are 5 screens on this. Try going up and down, its in the shape of a D-Pad.

This app is going to take some configuring, you can change the size of all those things you want!

I will try to walk you through it.
- Menu - Edit Theme
- Long press in open area
- New - Springboard
- Make it the size you want for the "button", as this is actually what act as the toggle switch.
- Long press in open area
- New - Tagged Tray (you can actually choose other things here but this is what I think they had in mind when making the interface
- Make this the size you want, it is where the apps go
- Long press the Tagged Tray
- Edit
- Filter by - choose a group (eg. games)
- You can change setting in here if you want but there are too many for me to go over here.
- back out and long press the Springboard
- Edit
- Controlled Block(s)
- And change the Tagged Tray you created to Yes
- Back completely out and it is ready for you to add programs to the Tagged Tray
- Long press a clear area in the tagged tray
- Application - Choose the application.
- You can remove an application by long pressing it and then dragging it out of the Tray.

Hope this helps you or someone.

Typed with Swype...Just joking.

An app has to sit in a tray. If you want the basic press and add, then add a Custom Tray.

Remember that Tray Title and Tray ID will need to be unique. If you have 2 Custom Trays with the same ID they will contain the same content. ALSO, if you're using a Custom Tray set the Embed option to YES. otherwise the content of that tray will be gone when you share it.

Not sure what you mean by create widget space?
