Root Swype, biggest battery user?

I am using Dolphin battery saver. And it is telling me that Swype is using the largest portion of my battery? Is anyone experiencing the same? Thanks
 
I love it regardless. Best keyboard by far in terms of speed and ease. I can't imagine it using that much more battery than a standard keyboard. But if there is a difference it's worth me NOT using a regular keyboard.

Me too! This is my first Android and Swype saved me a ton of fat thumbing! Been using a std keyboard for about 4hrs.... It's got to go.

+1 for Swype.. I'd rather cut other things then peck at keys.. I started with it the day I got my first Droid (the ascend) and have never looked back.. Now if only it would stop cracking out when on the charger :cool:
 
Has anyone used SlideIt, TouchPal or FlexT9? Their input operations are very similar to Swype; but do they consume as much battery as Swype?

FlexT9 were bought by the same company that owns Swype, and the two methods will apparently be combined into one package in the future.
 
yeah i dont want to sound like a jerk or anything but i hate swype lol i also hate that talking apple crap, this country is getting way too lazy man its sad.. remember the 70's? i dont.. cuz i wasn't born yet.. lol but i wish i was!!!

Jerk lol..jp.. I ain't one to talk to be lazy.. I'm 79 :p Bro I like your roms.. I'm running blacked out plagued idk lol this thing has been flashed so many times it sees stars.. Back to Swype.. I hate pecking away at keys.. And yeah apple sucks lol I'll agree with that :p:cool: the only thing that was semi cool was it was nix based.. I'd pick kubuntu just causE I'm rusty.. winbloze is still easy.. Anyways.. I think I'm gonna looks fir the thread and take a leap of faith lol screw you cwm lol.. just kidding.. off topic even more.. Everyone who has helped, deved, donated.. It's turned into an awesome phone.. Thank you all...

umm... im with idrifta, swype can go to hell. idk if its me or what but it just annoys the crap out of me, swype around a KEYBOARD, to make a word...... does that make sense to you? i dont drag my finger across the laptop or desktop cpu at home..... and once in awhile when it is a lengthy email, i do get to use 4 fingers. ends up getting typed quicker then you can swype my but :D (j/k)
