Root Swype for HTC Evo

I tried to get this with no luck. I found an apk but then it took me to swypes beta site then the site said it's down when i tried to register.???
 
I am running swype 1.61.37.8128. It does not suffer from the dysfunction introduced with the 2.2 upgrade. Google that version and you may find what you're looking for.

What dysfunction are you talking about? I am registered for the closed beta testing right now, but my swype doesnt work. It works as a normal keyboard, but I can't swype. The first text I sent after installing it worked fine, but after that it hasnt worked since. Is this a known problem??

Correct me if I'm wrong but there is currently no voice to text function within the swype keyboard. Thats a dealbreaker for me because it sucks to drive and text.

This thread will be closed. As laredo7mm have posted, AF does not promote the distribution of any liscenced apps on its website.
