Swype for Incredible??

A few other people have had that problem. Not sure what they did to fix it, but I would try powercycling your phone.

switch back to basic text imput then back to swype that is what fixed it for me..

I finally got it to work, I had to re-download it from here instead of a differ link mentioned earlier: com.swype.android.inputmethod.apk

You have to change the keyboard to Swype. Open a text message and long press on the text input box. Then select Input Method and choose Swype.

Haven't run into any problems yet. My GF is one of the fastest I have ever seen on a BB keyboard and I just dusted her using this! I'm sure the app isn't not 100%, but I have to send a lot of emails during the day, usually long ones, so this should help out.

Anyone else getting a message when the screen rotates from portrait to landscape? Something about not supporting the screen size . . . . otherwise it's working perfectly for me.

I keep getting the beep also, and when I switch to use swype it says the version i have is not the correct screen resolution for the phone, Is there a correct screen size version for the incredible?

I was having same issue, then I tried downloading this version located here and it worked
com.swype.android.inputmethod.apk

Emphatically yes....but some have not taken a liking to it. Give it a whirl be patient with it once you get the hang of it I find it indispensable and by far my #1 app on android

it is available in 4 different color themes and three different resolutions: 480x800(HTC Droid Incredible) , 320x480 and 480x854

Tested work great looks much nice than stock swype.

Sorry....it's late....I use handcent and this is in it's settings not Swypes. My bad. It adds a smiley key to the Swype keyboard

I downloaded the file to the SD card, found it with ASTRO, then installed it with the stock app manager...said it installed, but then there is no icon and i can't manually launch it from the app manager as it says "Activity Not Found - .com.swype.android.inputmethod.
