Swype Trial Period Ended?!?! wtf

Thanks for the new link, Muneco. Man, I wish swype would stop doing this and just let us buy the freakin' app.
 
Glad to have swype back, again. Seems to work better too. Contractions created automatically, which is a big fix. Now if only we could get the themes back. I'm already missing my Ultimate Dark theme. Where is Adrenalinrush?
 
Downloaded the apk but when I click it i get a message saying no application can be found to open this. Do I need astro to open a .apk?

Sometimes you need a file manager like IO or ES File Manager or ASTRO or Androzip (any of those will work) to open .apk's you download in browser.

I had that problem the other day with an .apk file. Some work in Browser download, some don't. Don't know why!
 
Yeah, the color scheme is a bummer; one can get kinda spoiled with the custom colors. But at least it's Swype. Apparently I just can't seem to type with the keyboard anymore. ;)
 
Has anyone had any problems with the tracking and double letters with the new verison. (1.56)

I have adjusted the Speed VS Accuracy and it has not made any change.
I also have tried uninstall and reinstall and the rebooting.

I am running Sense-able 3.1

Same here. I'm switching back to 1.25. The convenience of skipping apostrophes in 1.56 isn't worth the worse performance in finger tracking and double letters.
 
ok so i forgot my password, which i really havent. I know what I set it to and wrote it down. I go to login after recieving the email and it says its incorrect. Try the recover password option and says " thanks for registering, blah blah blah. something about when they open the beta" WTF. any help?

Thanks for getting it up again.

I think we really need to get everyone we can to contact Swype and inform them that we love this app. Perhaps if enough people contact them it may persauade them to release it instead of to just preselected phones.
 
Is anyone else getting the error: "The swype package you installed does not match the screen size of the device. Please contact Swype about this issue. Screen size:480:800.

Looking at my application info, I have Swype version 7625. I installed the swype-hvga-1.56-licensed.apk file.

Either I've missed Swype terribly for the last 5 hours, or this new 1.56 version is working better than before!
 
Can someone help me find a link to the .apk for the original swype? (I know it will not work, I want to switch over the .png's so we don't have to have ugly white swype with the new version).
 
If someone could sign this, I'm pretty sure I've transferred all of the original .png's over to the new, ugly, white swype. The file names remained the same, and this is a cut down english only version.

So if someone could sign this, that would be awesome!

Thanks Gaelic241 for the link! I tried the other three links and they all still showed up as expired. Last time swype expired I got a 5612 version. I'm back swyping and happy again! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

this is 1.56 with the old .png's [blue/gray]

The tracking issue might be fixed by using the standard sized .png's from the original version (let me know if you try this version)

Only problems:swype trail is still green
pop-up box is light tan

It still looks nice, and functions properly. Let me know what you think, I will work on fixing the odds and ends if I can/

The distrbution of Swype except from the developers themselves is illegal.
