How To Sync Outlook Contacts & Calendar to Google

Yeah I'm currently using the Google calendar sync. Although, it isn't working for me as a 2-way solution. Events I add to Google Calendar aren't showing up in Outlook on my PC....so that really isn't all that great.

Really tho, the point of this thread is to find a good (and hopefully cheap or free) solution that will auto-sync both Contacts & Calendar between Outlook & Google.
I agree

Guys, I am relatively new to Droid. I was helping out a friend to setup his Samsung Note. He had all his contacts and calendar entries in Outlook. I did a quick export-import of the contacts to his gmail account and the phone wonderfully synched the contacts, numbers emails and addresses. Wonderful so far... till I started to synch the calendar entries. Apparently the entries are from 2012 to 2030!! I exported the Outlook Calendar to csv file and tried to import in gmail calendar without any success. I don't know why this darn export-import thing did not work. Anyway, I started looking for other means and came across googlecalendarsync. I installed this on my friends laptop and it seemed to start the sync. It worked for some minutes and then when I looked at Samsung Note, I could see the data after I did a sync with gmail calendar. I expected this to work like the contacts, but I soon found out that the data was transferred only for 2012 year. I tried re-synch, refurbished Samsung Note et al but without any success. Couple of things which came to my notice:
1] Only 2012 Calendar entries were getting synched
2] There was some data loss (for some days, Outlook showed entries and the corresponding entires in S Planner in Samsung Note were missing)
3] This does not do a two way sync
4] When I get into the Week view and select a day, the events are shown in the box and below area, however when I click and get into that day there are just blank blue lines with the name of the task/event. When a new event is added directly through Samsun Note, the same behavior is correct. I wonder if this is a legacy data issue specific to calendar...

Can anyone help me out here? I have following queries:
a] Is there a way to seamlessly integrate Outlook Calendar with S Planner?
b] Are there any know issues with S Planner - Outlook integration?
c] Is there any other app I can use as a planner which will take all the voluminous data from Outlook Calendar and sync properly?
d] What software can I use on the PC to sync Outlook with Samsung Note? (preferable free software :D)
e] Has anyone encountered the same problem as explained in point #4 above?

Thanks

"GO Contact Sync Mod synchronizes your Microsoft Outlook contacts with your Google Mail address book, including pictures, categories and notes. Since version 3.5.6 it also syncs your Outlook Notes on demand to Google Documents. This Mod fork adds many enhancements and bug fixes to the obviously dead project 'Go Contact Sync'."

I use it with "Google Calendar Sync", yes its two programs but it works and its free!

I hope this helps
Seems like the perfect solution for anyone who doesn't mind having their contacts managed in the Google cloud. I just find it strange that no one else has commented on this product but Tamps. Anyone have anything to report on GO Contact Sync?

I'm curious about this too. Anyone tried it?

I tried it. And I got in a lot of trouble for missing meetings that Google erased from Exchange.

I've stopped even trying. This is really frustrating. I want one calendar, not 3. My N900 was perfect, anything I did on it was synced to Exchange and vice verse. Nothing "disappeared" without reason.

Beyond the calendar, I want only 1 set of contacts. I want to be able to "Push" whichever picture/avatar {Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, ...} I choose to Exchange, which I want my phone to use.

Syncing both to Google would be nice, if I was sure it would work. If I have 4 meetings in a day and only 3 stay on my calendar I cannot use it.

myphoneexplorer +1

I recently found "moffice" for my callander, task list etc. added mobisynapse for $10. and it syncs everything to and fromOutlook. only thing is, I have to plug my droid into my pc with the usb cable for sync. But, since I am at my desk anyway, it's not really that big a deal.

I wish Google Calendar Sync would work for me, but it only syncs with your "primary" Google calendar. Unfortunately, my work calendar is not my primary, nor can I figure out how to make it so. I want to use Google Calendar Sync simply to keep my work Exchange calendar in sync with my "Work" calendar on my phone. No can do with this tool :(

@FeloniusMonkey - is your work calendar on an exchange server? If so, the calendar should show up automatically (without having to sync to google) - or are you trying to copy your work calendar to google calendar?

The calendar application should be able to show multiple calendars on your phone (one gmail, and one exchange, and any others)

The problem is purely with my Google calendars. My "primary" Google calendar is "Personal". I also have Google calendars called "Work", "Social", and "Hockey". When I sync to my workstation at work, I want all of my Exchange appointments to go into my Google "Work" calendar. I suppose a workaround would be to make the "Work" calendar the primary (and "Personal" would become a secondary)... but I can't figure out a way to do that without deleting my Google calendars and completely rebuilding them.

I've had my battles with exchange and google calendar....if you can live with your phone being the one place that consolidates and shows your work and google/personal calendars in one place, syncing Exchange directly to your phone (and ignoring google calendars totally) is the way to go.

I keep Exchange direct without going to google and it is seamless. I can view my consolidated calendar on my phone and I can decide what calendar or contacts to add items to.

However if you want to see all of your calendar information including your work calendar on say google calendar while viewing it in a browser, that won't work. It sounds like this might be what you really want...

I use "set calendar colors" app to set their colors.
