Root Synergy - [RLS1+GodMode 08/05/2011] - can't get it to load

Hello all. today I thought I would give Synergy - [RLS1+GodMode 08/05/2011] - Godmode a try and for whatever reason I cannot get it to load. It just sits on the white HTC screen. I left it there for over an hour. Any idea on what I may be doing wrong. This would have been my 4th rom so I thought I had the process down pat, but apparently not.

Oh and I have no idea why it is typing in bold.

yeah the godmode thing takes forever. i had similar issues with the synergy-kingdom 8/11 nightly last night. but i eventually got it going by re-downloading the rom then wiping everything except the sd card. and wiped 3x and used the superwipe 3x then i flashed the rom. it finally booted up, but it did take 30 mins or so.

you can get the superwipe in the rom/kernel sticky. just flash it before flashing the rom.

you know for me godmode does not work well on my phone i guess. you know for me i have my card partitioned but for some reason i could not get a2sd to work for me. i have 150 apps on my card (don't ask. i went a little crazy with amazon's free apps). so i got frustrated and restored back to mik3d. lol

i use the golden monkey 1.1 w/setcpu and the v6 supercharger script and it is quite fast for me.
 
Just a follow up on this. I tried downloading the Godmode rom 2 more times and on the last time, I let it sit for over 2 hours and I could never get past the white HTC screen.
Since then I have installed RS1 (non-Godmode) and it took less than 10 mins total. I am now setting up RS2 (no-Godmode) and it has taken kess than 10 mins as well, so there must be a step or two I am missing when adding the Godmode rom.

Oh well, I am very happy with the non-godmode rom in the end. Thanks again!!!

So nobody is confused later, the most current versions of Synergy are RLS1, and RLS1 +Godmode. There is no such thing as RS1 or RS2, the poster above may be thinking about RC1 & RC2, which are not as new.


To Edwelly, glad you are on RLS1. I and many other people are running it, so if you have any questions find the thread here.

After looking back, yes you are 100% correct. Sorry about that. I downloaded RC2 and that is what I am using now. So far, I am really enjoying it. Thanks again for everyone's help.

Make sure your Downloading that P.zip file (don't have the entire name in front of me). It updates your recovery which has to happen to install synergy.
 
can you use this rom without a partitioned sd? how does synergy rsl1 compare to synergy rc1 or rc2? for those who have tried

That rom took me 25 minutes to load after doing a full wipe of everything except Sd. EVOlveD is a much better rom in my opinion.

i have not tried the nighlies, but for me this rom is not a bad rom. it seems slows to me compared to mikg2.45. plus godmode just killed my battery. and you do not have to with this rom.
 
Been using rls1 with god mode for at least a week. It's snappier than rc2 with god mode.
The camera reboot bug still occurs sometimes. Battery life is better. Moderate use lasts 20+ hours
 
It looks like i am not the only one thats not able to load that very specific rom. and for some reason I cant find a godmode available for download.

This is sense 2.1 so it doesn't have the carousel.

If you are talking about a specific theme or addon that puts the carousel on it, if it doesnt say godmode on it, it ususally doesnt work for it.

There is a workaround for this posted on the XDA thread, but it doesnt work for everything.
