System Data

Curious as to how much space 'system data" is taking up on others. If you go to settings <> storage<> at the bottom it says "Misc" click on that and it should say at the top how much space "system data" is using up. On mine it is 6.56GB which seems like waaay to much. If you could post how much yours shows I would appreciate it, and for anyone that knows how to lower mine that is great as well. Thanks!!!

Honestly...aside from rooting this phone and putting on a custom ROM...I don't think you are going to find a solution outside of putting a micro SD card in the phone. Luckily it has support for that so pop in a 16, 32, 64 or 128GB card and call it a day.

It's the norm unfortunately. At least the 32 GB model of the G3 has some room for stuff.

The 16GB Samsung Galaxy S4 had 9GB available and the S5 has 10GB. Every feature or built in application the OEMs/carriers put in there means there is less available space for storage...

I was coming from the HTC Droid DNA. 16GB storage and non expandable...ugh. Every baseball game or birthday party or other picture/video centric event we have meant I would be downloading my pics to a computer that night LOL!
