Help system panel

Does anyone know what may be keeping my phone awake? System panel shows my "system " as the number one app. Thisi is overnight, so I'm not using my phone.

This is really getting upsetting, that something or app is consuming my battery. I never once had an issue with this phone, but right now I could trade this crap in.. wonder if iPhone has these type of problemsproblems?
 
I had a similar issue. Lots of CPU percentage being used, and system panel seemed to be the only thing going. I uninstalled it and that seems to have taken care of the problem.
 
Have you attempted to download anything from the market recently. Sometimes a download can get hung up. Go into manage apps; market; force close. This happened to my wifes phone and was killing the battery very fast. I did the above steps and it took care of the problem.
 
Uninstalling sytem panel seems to have worked. I'll give it some more time. If there is still something wrong I'll try force closing the market. Thanks alot..
 
If you do use system panel I used to remove it from the excluded list and exit the app by ending it with itself. Suicide solution, it worked great for me.
 
Guys, getting the phone to sleep by removing System Panel may just be a coincidence. I've been running SP for 8 months and it has never kept my phone awake. I cannot speak for your individual phones of course, but killing apps with System Panel and having them repeatedly start back up again could also be a reason a battery may take a hit.

I would suggest Spare Parts to tell you if something is keeping it awake.
 
This just happened to my phone this weekend, I uninstalled system panel, rebooted and everything went back to normal. I have the 2150 battery and it went down to 50% in 2 hours I in my pocket.

Went down 50% in two hours?? With or without SP??

Regardless, 50% in two hours sounds very severe!!
 
That was with SP still installed, since its been ok. Sorry for the confusion, my wording wasn't the best before. Yeah it dropped way too fast, that's why I also rebooted, something was really eating at my battery.

I don't use FB but I'm assuming there's a setting in the app for how often it's getting updates? Maybe try lengthening that time and/or make sure it's not constantly trying to sync.
 
Turns out it is Facebook for Android. I uninstalled the updates and my phone sleeps. I tried off-line for chat and did not help. Is there another way to log off of chat?

This is exactly why I uninstalled that garbage Facebook 1.5 update 2 hours after I first installed it!

Forget about the fact that Chat keeps you logged in at ALL times and Push Notifications only seem to work for a handful of people, it broke the patch (or maybe more accurately caused a new bug) from 1.4 that was keeping the phone from sleeping!

Glad you got it sorted out, nothing more frustrating than a phone that won't sleep!!
 
Yea its great to have my phone back. I know alot of the basics with android, so thanks for your help. I use Facebook but I don't need chat that bad. Maybe they'll fix it.
