Root System update

Do i just grab any rom after im rooted and recovery? I just got a used phone and its 2.2.2. Can someone give me a link so i can do some ICS roms or whatever is preferred at this point? Im on CM 7 and its slow. Should i just grab the Umph kernel?

You would just flash a new ROM onto the device then perform a Factory Reset and wipe the dalvik cache.

Just remember ICS has no camera and apps that scan don't work either.

The short and sweet for this phone is the only thing you really need to ROM our phone is a custom recovery. i.e. ClockWorkRocovery or Twerp (I think)

Honestly you don't even need that, you can do it all from download mode and throur ADB. You might need to be running Linux for that to work right, but it could be done.

I would stick with the recovery way as it is the safest and easyest.
