I have the latest ota zip and I can make a nandroid of the newest Rom when I get up. I gotta get some zzzz.

Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.

It's probably the firmware update but you should take a backup of the ROM so you can restore it as a baseline just in case you don't get the same reception with other ROM's.Holy Cow, I went and flashed the ruu, did both ota updates, and tested my phone and now it's receiving and sending calls, and texts messages again from my homeso im thinking new update fix my issue, but now if i change hboot and flash another rom or restore my nandroid will i lose the update that i just ran?
sorry for the stupid question, but im still new to this lol.

I was in the middle of flashing the recovery thru adb, so i could backup like you said, but i keep gettin this message:
C:\sdk-tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
sending 'recovery' (6912 KB)... OKAY [ 1.719s]
writing 'recovery'... FAILED (remote: not allowed)
finished. total time: 1.724s
C:\sdk-tools>
any help will be appreciated.
Hboot needs unlocked. Or install a jbear hboot if s-off.
thanks a lot.
I got and rooted the phone two weeks ago. I did the first OTA before I rooted my phone. I guess if I want this I have to unroot and start all over?
Another Question. I picked this phone up for my wife just a few days ago. I am going to activate it on Saturday. I want to root her phone and put Harmonia on it for her. Should I be putting this new OTA on her phone? I dont know if this new one breaks anything with root or flashing roms. Sorry, just trying to figure this out and not mess anything up.
The hboot 1.58.0000 that is part of the new OTA is not supported by unlimited.io for Virgin Mobile and AFAIK no one with an Evo V has tried getting S-OFF with that hboot installed. I'd recommend at least waiting until someone agrees to be the guinea pig for that unless you want to try it first. The effect of this OTA on the JBear S-OFF procedure is unknown at this point.I am in a similar situation. Look back around post #79 or so, see if that helps any.
Caution: Anthrax 3.6.4 breaks WiFi on this update.
Not yet, sir. Patiently waiting![]()
what exactly do you want?
i can make a nandroid in a bit, but i have no idea how to make a rom.zip out of it
I just need either a zip of /system, a nandroid of system, or a dump
But it has to be RUU > OTA update(nov) > OTA update(march)
preferably fresh install with nothing extra
Oh and the boot.img of the latest would be nice too haha
well little background then:
I am s off
I flashed ruu through bootloader
updated to both ota's
factory reset
installed 4ext
created nandroid
zipped with 7zip
now im uploading to db
will upload here shortly if that is what you want

exactly what I want![]()
I'd try anthrax but nobody ever wants to give me a link to one of the newer builds that was released
Why is HTC so concerned about people that s-off?If you are unlocked, taking an ota wont relock you.
It requires a stock rom and stock recoveey.
You'll have to reinstall the custom recoveey after to reinstall your su files.
However, taking an ota is never a good idea, because htc closes prior holes used to gain soff

Just went over to Anthrax Forums to get the latest and saw that all links have been removed for some drama going on over there... I don't really care to look into the reasons, seems like Chad's always in a fit about something.... Anyway I've got "anthrax_universal_rls_3.6.6.zip" on my SD card which I think is only a month or so old. May still be the latest, idk. I may be able to help you out, PM me for details.
Edit: I see I downloaded it on February 12, so it's pretty recent.
