Yes, some users have been successful doing that with the wire trick, but it's best to flash a stock ROM before trying it since it's not possible to flash the RUU if the firmware (hboot 1.58) from the March OTA has been installed.

RUU still can be flashed if HBOOT is downgraded to something earlier than 1.57, right? for example 1.50? I have been going back and forth so many times lately. But haven't tried flashing RUU.
You can't dowgrade the hboot unless s-off.
You can run the RUU if s-off no matter what hboot you are on.
So there is no RUU to flash while s-on if you took the March OTA

I did s-off after taking the last OTA. So I can RUU no matter what hboot. That is good to know. Thanks!
