Ok so I'm rooted with custom recovery installed and I woke up this morning and my phone wants to update. What are my options.

2.3.4 stockrom clockwork mod recovery rooted. now it wants to update i assume its the 2.3.6 update which i am going to avoid as long as possible just dont want a brick if the phone forces update on reboot.

ok. then the link is for you.

thanks go to Smith058. not sure why it takes you to the middle of the thread (my search?) just scroll to the top.

If its the same update as before it would abort when it gets to cwm. You could odin back to complete stock with no root and no cwm and then update, you could update with a 2.3.6 rom or you could just ignore it.

could also do the update to 2.3.6 by flashing one of the custom roms.

I went from Starscrom to Ultra rom and added the Bobz oc kernal by flashing with cwm and had no wifi issue and it fixed the screen issue as well.
Im guessing that would get rid of the update nag message as well. not 100% on that so if you follow that route please post if it did.

I am running ultra rom and also got this update message......

so should i remove cwm and root and take the update the redo it all can i install custom recovery and root on 2.3.6 ?
