Did anyone else get a systems update ota, if so do you know what it was? I got one on Friday but do not know what it was, there was no explanation about what it was.

Many of us believe it's a GPS fix but not exactly sure yet.

It's improved on my part but not enough to where it's actually usable.

Interesting. To avoid confusion: this current ota update to zv5 is still android 4.1.

As a side note late last week I spent considerable time on the phone with Boost Tech support concerning a 3G issue. During one of many back and forths with the tech, she mentioned that our phone was to be upgraded to KitKat beginning next week, which is this week since I talked to her last week. Coincidence? Maybe. Time will tell.

She said we would get kitkat this week? lol yeah right, like LG would release 4.4 kitkat for our device instead of working on their Flasgship LG G2 lol. we started getting an update a little over a week ago but it was not 4.4 kitkat. it was still 4.1.2 probably bug fixes.

I'm glad I found this thread because I was completely confused by that update. My Kyocera Hydro had gotten an ota update the week before and also had not changed Android version so I really didn't know what was going on.

I'm looking forward to this possible Kitkat update!

My only issue with gps was that it kept dropping the signal, I used the gps today 3 times, about 45 min each and no dropped signal. So what ever it was it fixed my issue. Still 4.1.2, and ZV5. Keep my fingers crossed.




Update: back to dropping the signal again.

How long are we going to have to wait to get an update from 4.1.2 to kitkat. I'm with US Cellular and they haven't released an update at all for my phone. But then again rooting might be a good solution for this.

I was wondering the same thing. I love this phone just the GPS sucks.
