T-mobile Galaxy S2(T989) sorta bricked?

fsufort06

Lurker
After doing alot of searching i just bought a USB jig to speed things up but i don't want to wait the weekend. So i bought a white S2 for a great price from somebody but i wanted to unroot it and then root it without roms....long story short while unrooting the phone im not sure what happened, but now all it goes to is the Samsung screen and then the screen goes black. I can though perhaps get into the recovery mode....I'm not sure exactly what to do, but i just got this phone today and i'm bummed out.

HELP!

Welcome to the forum fsufort06 and thanks for joining.

I have moved your thread to the TMobile all things root forum. You should get some help there.

Try going to recovery. Select wipe data/factory reset. Reboot.

Can you explain the process you used to unroot?

And this probably sounds stupid, but it messed me up for about 8 hrs:
You know what buttons to push to wipe what Atmazzz said to after you're in recovery, right?

I kept getting errors after unrooting because I couldn't figure out how to wipe this, as the power button wouldn't do anything when I volumned down to the data wipe.
No one told me it was the freegin' HOME button!

I'm sure you (and everybody but me) knew this.
I just wanted to share an experience I had last night.

By the way Atmazzz: When I tried the 3 different ROMs you linked to me to get back to stock, I was getting the same f/c errors on all of them: Because I wasn't wiping the factory data (or settings? Can't remember) after Odin finished flashing the ROM's (with the home key in recovery right after unplugging the usb after the green PASS).
That was it the whole time.

(thanx again, Sir)(I still haven't been to bed, setting this thing back up)

Atmazz i believe what the problem is that the phone had android 4.0 when i got it, with tons of roms on it. I don't know anything about roms, i just wanted to unroot it, put it back to just plain 2.5 or 2.6 then root it, as the only thing i do with a rooted phone is to download certain apps from the Play Store that needs a rooted phone...

I followed these instructions: How To Unroot the Samsung Galaxy S II (T-Mobile Version) - TheUnlockrTheUnlockr

Now like if i normally start the phone i see the samsung screen then its black. but if go into recovery mode and Select wipe data/factory reset. Reboot....its the same thing...look at the website i used perhaps you can help me.

I just got the phone bc i lost the other one 2 days ago, and can't even use the phone yet. Thanks in advanced

like what i need is where to get a factory rom, how to put in on the SD card(i guess through another phone) and put my unused beauty to stock

Thanks yea it helped putting the phone in download mode...the only problem i have is the phone getting stuck in modem, when im in Odin
