Root [T-Mobile] LG G2 Brick - D801 - Stock TOT File

I don't have it. But you could downgrade, update via OTA, then re-root using either IOroot25 or towelroot if that's where you want to end up.

im trying to fix the screen issue, is acting crazy, screen jump all over the place without touching anything and by that forum the 4.4.3 update will fix that issue, i cant do anything on the phone, so i cant root, dont have access to turn developer mode on, also the phone wont stay on for more them 20 sec till reboot again.

Could easily be a hardware issue as bberryhill0 noted. But in any event, what I suggested doesn't require you to interact with a booted phone. I'm saying use LG Flash Tools and flash back to an earlier build, then see if the problems still exists. If not, accept OTA updates and move forward to the newest version.

To reflash stock, you use download mode which is accessed from a powered off phone, then press and hold volume up while at the same time plugging into PC.

Then use that. I assumed without looking it'd be JB. I just think it'd be worth trying to reflash stock so you can rule out software. If it's not fixed afterwards, it's a hardware problem.

I am having an issue, too. I am trying to flash stock on a T-Mobile G2 that's stuck in bootloop. I keep getting a "Wrong DLL" error.

Here's what I got.

Did you get the COM port changed to COM41? Have you replaced the megalock.dll already? Also, on your first screenshot, choose connection mode "usb".

That tot file seems like an incomplete download. I don't know of any g2 roms that are only 0.6 GB.

It was incomplete. I should have known that because I have never seen a ROM file that small when I am able to flash .kdz files. Com port was changed and the megalock.dll is updated. I've never had a phone give me such grief. More annoying is when I try to do a hardware button reset it starts erasing data then stops and goes right back to the bootloop. grr The Wrong DLL warning drives me bonkers. I feel like I am just right on the cusp of getting this fixed but it keeps eluding me. When I try to flash a .kdz it gets stuck at 2%.

This is because you keep trying to load the wrong Dll file. You need to reload all the files every time you restart LG flash utility.

I have reloaded the DLL file every time.

Yes this is what I meant,Dang phone keeps putting in wrong things I'm typing.

You have to also reload all the files.Try getting another Megalock dll file off the web.
Plus I would also uninstall the LG flash utility too and all the files for the flash tool and reinstall it.

You should be able to go backwards in version using LG Flash Tools and the tot/dll method. If you'd like to try that, here's files you can use:

Listing of Stock_Firmware

Last 2 are what you want. The large zip contains the tot, unzip to reveal it. I'd use the dll there too (last file in that list). These are indeed older files but once you get a working phone, you can accept OTA's to get back the rest of the way.

Here are the general instructs to using this method, you may have alternate instructs you want to use and that's ok too:

Restore Stock G2 Firmware - Pastebin.com

Make sure you are using the version of LG Flash Tools which is linked there. If yours is different, use this one instead. You can obviously skip the part to download the tot/bin as I already linked that above. But there's a nice link there with additional instructs which have pics. That's a handy addition.

Also note the part about replacing the megalock dll, that's key. You can try the one linked in that tutorial first, if you get any megalock related errors, use this one instead:

Alternate megalock dll

Thanks to Autoprime (xda/freenode/codefire) for the files and writeup.

Thank you so much for the link!
I was able to score a brand new sealed LG G2 D801 (T-mobile model) for $23 on eBay!! And I managed to brick it in less than an hour due to an outdated or corrupted APK. I am fairly experienced with G2's and couldn't get a KDZ to install on said bricked device and was looking everywhere for a TOT file.
I was able to get into TWRP and run the ADB sideloader to push a stock ROM on it, but there was something preventing it from booting still.
I could only find TOT files for the LS980 (Sprint) version.
So, again, thank you for posting this. It's all back to normal now. I am wary of loading a bloatware free ROM. But, it's good to know I have this safety net now :).
I signed up here just to pay you some respect to you along with the people that help communities like these out.
I'll take a look around to and see if I can answer some questions in the forums to try and pay this forward.

Here is a link to a bunch of KDZ's and TOT's for all LG G2 variants and countries. Hope someone finds this useful: https://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G2/Stock/
