Root [T-Mobile] S4 Google Edition rom

Arghh. My 4.3 upgrade keeps failing. The download comes down automatically (105mb), requests permission to restart and update. It then reboots into recovery, but nothing runs. This is likely because I use TWRP recovery of course. And I have no idea where the download saves to do it manually.
Any ideas?

From what I've read all the updates fail because the google edition recovery is not on the phone. You could try using cf-auto-root to install a stock recovery and see if it will update. I don't know where it stores the update.

still no answer to this I am interested damn it!!!! :) can someone using stock rom give the info!!!!! PLEASE pretty Please, Please

I wonder if after you install the rom use triangle away and unroot if you can receive updates from Google? Theres no need to flash the kernel after some reading so it seems you can get the phone to appear stock.

Are there any updates and how do I get me google recovery on my phone. I wanna see if I can get stock to work on my phone - also wanna see if google wallet goodness is worth it. :-)

I do want to bump this thread to the top because I am also wondering if someone knows of a GE rom that is up to 4.4 KitKat goodness. I know that the Google Edition of GS4 received the update OTA to all phones now sooooo YEAH?

Downloading now, thanks! Any idea if it has any of that Knox sh*t? It shouldn't because it's pure google, but I'm curious. Also is it odexed for ART? cheers

just installed, only issue i found was what was mentioned in the "bugs". it functions like a stock nexus device.

What does that mean it is supposed to function like a nexus device as it carries the same software or am I missing something here?

I am also seeing that many people seem to be having problems with the rom - force close random reboots and so on.

I personally thought that the only difference between our phone and the google edition is the recovery - and of course the vanilla android but that is software stuff - the hardware should be almost identical so there should really not be any problems that are not present on the google edition device!

i have the metropcs s4 with baseband m919nuvuamf2 and have not had an issue with reboots at all. its been all day so far on v2.0
