T-mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE (SGH-M919) ON METRO. South Fla. area

t-mobile hoping to boost our spectrum to 20mhz soon thats crazy if most of us are hitting anywhere from 10-15 mbps on average with just 5 mhz of spectrum in most areas what would be 20mhz?????? source:

How fast can it go?
The question of speed is a hot topic, and a crucial one for T-Mobile's long-term success. Sprint is suffering from its constrained LTE performance, a fate that T-Mobile must avoid at all costs.
CNET's Brian Bennett got a chance to put T-Mobile's 4G LTE claims to the test on a demo network set up in New York City specifically for press.
Brian saw impressive speeds on the iPhone 5, BlackBerry Z10, and HTC One, including download speeds between 20 to 30Mbps and upload speeds of 15 to 20Mbps.
Of course, there were very few phones demanding juice from the ad-hoc network, which could signal slower speeds in real-world situations. On the other hand, maybe not. Localized network strength also plays a tremendous role in future performance, with some cities and towns getting faster, wider coverage than others based on the configuration of cell towers in the area.
For its part, T-Mobile has promised a 10MHz by 10MHz LTE network, and claims that with MetroPCS' combined assets, it'll be able to grow up to a 20MHz by 20MHz network

And just think that article is close to 3 months old, some markets that have now officially launched have users reporting 40+mbs down and 20+ up.

I think Vegas with its combined metro and tmo has been getting great coverage and speeds.

sprint runs a 5x5mhz on the 1900mhz band next year they will be switching to 10x10 and rolling out advanced LTE on the 800mhz spectrum.

Link? I thought it was supposed to be a 5x5MHz 1900MHz and 5x5MHz 800MHz that are later aggregated to 10x10MHz 1900 & 800MHz cross aggregation late in 2014

lemme see if i can find it, it was a sprint internal document, they were supposed to be planning on getting 800mhz out the door asap but hits a few setbacks (namely all these bids etc) and i think it slowed it down. they were supposed to start using the money from softbank to aggressively expand the spectrum

edit: its why they bought up spectrum in chicago from uscc

Lmao my mind automatically went to birds, these birds in particular What's causing a delay in Sprint's LTE rollout? Birds
Sprint mentioned that one of the holdups to get its LTE network rolled out is waiting for fiber-optic backhaul to be connected to its network sites. Of course, the company also mentioned a very different reason: birds. It turns out that some of the towers have become home to some avian families determined to hamper the uptake of high speed internet, which won't be activated until they migrate. We wouldn't advise you go with a stick trying to poke the nests from the sites -- we suspect the Humane Association is on the lookout for angry nerds.

Well they would have to wait to aggregate the bands whenever they rollout LTE-Advanced since that one of its features. But if Dish wins them and Clearwire they would have a vast amount of spectrum...................and debt.

EDIT
Well only Clearwires left for Dish then then http://www.theverge.com/2013/6/18/4443276/dish-bails-on-sprint-acquisition-to-focus-on-clearwire

Wasn't Tmob also saying a few months ago they were going to roll out +84 this year?

It's great to see how much tmob is expanding. Their HSPA network is obviously the best out speed wise and they are trying to get their LTE up there. Really wanna see what their LTE does now that I got LTE as an option. Funny seeing certain previous Tmob haters that's all in their junk now. Lol

Dropped it for LTE because HSPA+84 = 20x20MHz but LTE on 20x20 maxes 150mbps

so the phone's just sitting collecting dust, the 2 options i thought were viable appear to be failing
1. Getting a SIM from a 'BYOD ready market'
2. Waiting for South Florida to officially become 'BYOD ready' which was supposed to be 'next week' since June 12th.

I know someone here could help, and i know many more would like to see my results.

I drove to San Francisco to buy samsung s4. They made me activate a new San Francisco phone number. It works fine there. I got home and it won't work. It turns out, I live in a 2g area. I can't get Data and my voice is spotty at best . doesn't work most of the time. Gsm needs strong 4g. My area is called moderate. Any suggestions?

Dammmmmmmmn. Sorry to hear man
You scared the shit out of me for a second till i got to the part where you said youre in a 2g area
Not to try to make you feel bad or anything but you shouldve made sure you had good metro signal in your area period.
MetroPCS BYOD IPhone 5 experience in San Francisco
Take a look. Guess he got lucky, although he was a metro customer prior to his change
