Root [T-Mobile] Unlock Help

I require some help please. I have rooted my note 2 n7100 using cyanogenmod and everything on the phone works great, when i say everything i have no signal so cant call anyone and cant text. Having done much research i realise i didnt unlock my mobile before rooting it. Im on t mobile. Is there a way of unlocking my phone while is rooted if so can someone please assist. If this cant be done can someone please explain step by step how i can fix this problem.

Did it work before root?
I unlocked my tmobilr note ii after root [rooted stock rom flash method] by just sliding in new sim card.

It has retained unlock after every wipe and rom flash

Check your apns?
