Takes some getting used to?

I came from Motorola Android phones. The DROID and DROIDX. And since the time I got my DROID Incredible 2 today, I've really liked it, but not as much as I thought I would.

Does it take some getting used to since it really was a big jump? Should I be regretting this purchase? lol

Why do you say it's a big jump? The Dinc2 isn't that big of a jump from the Droid @ X.

I would think the biggest difference you'll notice is having Sense versus Blur.

Screen size seems much different since I have big hands. Yeah, the UI is a lot different too, and this phone seems to move at a different speed. I dunno. lol

Different speed good or different speed bad? I've owned moto, htc, and samsung android phones...there are differences with all of them and you can feel those differences when you are using the phones.

Exactly one of my points lol.
Slow in a bad way I guess.

Also some problems I have are the stock apps like Music. I loved the Moto one so much more. But I can't find a replacement that I like well enough so I guess I gotta live with it.

I can see how this phone might not be for everyone. I would give it a few days and see how you like it. Remember, this is going to be your phone for 2 years (unless you buy full retail), so if you don't like it, return it within your 14 day period and try something new. I suggest playing with the phones at the store before purchasing.

That's the great thing about android: CHOICE. Like blur? We got it. Like QWERTY? we got it. Like Pure vanilla? Well... :P

Let us know what you decide!

I wanna go off topic for a minute and say how awesome this community seems. Great members and threads.

Anyway, I did try the phone in the store, and I thought I liked it. The thing is, I'm on a tight budget so this was really the only phone I felt I could get.

I came from an X and yeah it took about a week to get used to it but this phone seems so much better than the X. Sense is a MUCH better experience than blur

I also came from the X. I have had the DINC2 for about a week now. It does take getting used to but once you do it is much better than the X. I am working hard to find a bug on this one. The DX2 was a nightmare even before the GB update. BLUR is the cause of most of their issues along with a hardware component that is causing the 3g to 1x drop. Sense will grow on you. Just give it some time.
As for music apps I have PowerAmp and Google Music loaded. I never really used the Moto music app.

Good to know other former X users feel the same.

And Doug, I tried both of those plus a lot of others, and still couldn't find a nice fit. Oh well.

Another thing I don't really like is the lack of quality skins on the internet for Sense. But obviously that's not the phone's fault haha.

you could also go ahead and try the alternative launchers giving you much more customization options for your homescreens and skinning and all of that.

Yeah, I tried LauncherPro which is what I had on my DROID and DROIDX, but it didn't feel the same. I also wanna try to keep the Sense feel.

Even the Sense mod for LauncherPro didn't seem right.

I'm a fan of vanilla android and I love Launcher Pro. But...I can't tear myself away from the Sense based ROMs on my Thunderbolt. It's nice to have the eye candy as well as the added functionality that sense offers.

For example, I for one, don't really like the stock music app, and I like the Sense one much better.

I know what you mean. I really don't like the idea of having a Sense-supported phone and not using the entire features list it has by replacing the launcher.

HTC Sense is not for everyone, but apparently a _lot_ of people really like it (myself included).

For me, Sense is the ONLY acceptable "skin". Motoblur does nothing for me, TouchWiz is blah, and LG's skin seems like a partial copy of TouchWiz. I'm not saying I wouldn't buy one of those phones but I can tell you that my Galaxy Tab is not sporting the stock launcher! :D
