Talk to text button... Where is it?

The only one you need it the HTC_IME_lo.apk file. When you click on it (after you download it through the browser) it will ask you if you want to install it, click yes.

yes and im clicking on the file that i need and it is not doin anything. I tried reseting the phone and it did not work. the file is there i went into lindas manager and found it there after i reboot.

Am trying to follow the instructions that you've provided for installing the keyboard but must say I'm very confused.

1) Download the ZIP file to your computer
2) Extract the HTC_IME_lo.apk file
3) Copy the APK file to SD card in your phone

That's where you loose me....
Is there a specific folder on the SD card where it should be copied?
How do you locate it to install it once it's on the SD card?

Sixxx: You posted "Get the installer off the market and give that a go..." Is there a specific installer you're recommending?

Thanks for the help.

Kelmar:
Many, many thanks! You answered my questions AND included a link to info on an installer ... you are the BEST!

I guess I could've done that, I'm just lazy, and the one on my phone just says "installer" so i just figured that's what it was..

I installed the above keyboard with the talk-to-text key and it was fine, but I went back to the old school way of doing it. Press 'Menu' then the 'Speak' button. One extra button to push is ok with me.

no problems here when I used it...

Kind of like a seatbelt warning. If you don't use it you could go through the windshield of the car.

Kelmar, you are extremely helpful to this forum and truly patient. I have been following your posts for a couple of weeks and you always help even when the questions seem a little out there!

Thank you, I appreciate the comment!

Honestly though, that's what we are all here for is to help one another out and get our phones functioning the way WE individually want them to work.

*hope that makes sense, I haven't slept in what seems an eternity.

I have hosted the .apk directly on my website to make installing it easier.

Point your phone's browser to: mammonlord.com/htc_ime_lo.apk

From there you can just touch the .apk in the download list to install it.

Thank you to the posters above me in this thread who helped me get this installed. I love using voice input! :)
