Help Task Killer 2.2.1 ?

So I have read we should not use a task killer on 2.2.1
Running tasks/Task killers
--Because of the way Linux systems work it is not recommended to use any task killer, memory freeing tools, things like that. I tested this myself the phone does run better and gets better battery life without task killers.

Anyone have thoughts on this ?
Will it help hurt or do nothing ?

I still have found running my task killer more beneficial than not.
