Help Tasker Functions doesnt seem to work!

am i doing something wrong?

i created a TASKER profile that will turn on MXPlayer (video player) when my headphones are plugged in...

pretty much what i did was (+) - new task, state, Hardware, headset plugged, Any, then check mark....then new task, check mark, add action, app, load app, Mxplayer, check mark.

when i plug in headphones, nothing happens...

what am i missing?

i have a note 3 with ATT--unrooted
 
i also did this guide and it doesnt seem to turn wifi on or off...

Profile Name: Home Location
Description: Tasker to-do when I arrive home; This profile switches Wifi on when I arrive home (i.e., outside of the house, pulling into the garage, etc.), and switches it off when I leave.
Context: "State"
State Category: "Phone"
Phone State: "Cell Near" (this was set up while at home, so the cell towers captured the correct location)
Normal Task:
- Action Category: "Net"
- "Net" Action: "Wifi"
- Set to: "On"
Exit Task(s):
- Action Category: "Net"
- "Net" Action: "Wifi"
- Set to: "Off"
 
Make sure Tasker is turned on in your Accessibility area:

System Settings (scroll down to System)
Accessibility (scroll down to Services)
Tasker-JB (should be 'On' - if not press and turn on)

I have programmed three simple Tasker programs and all three work well.

Nice, I was thinking maybe that was it but wasn't sure cause it seemed to work with TalkBack which I didn't think was necessary to also turn "on".

I enabled Tasker-JB hopefully mine will now start working as well.
 
Well that didn't help :(

For example I have A profile set to be silent and set to 8:40 Till 16:00

I just called the phone from my office phone and it still rang...

So frustrating

Maybe we should be looking for help in the actual Tasker forum, lol. My results just give me more questions.

I made the first profile with headphones and MX player. As soon as I plug in the phones, MX pro pops up with a directory that has the only media I have on the device, a short clip I made.

Looking under Accessibility and Services, I do have Tasker-JB listed, but it shows as being off!

One thing I see though, when I look at the profile itself, I see an on off switch looking thing on the right, I have it on.
