Tasker on the Atrix

I can see it now. You walk into work and the wallpaper is all business. You step out and BOOM, bikini girls!

I was thinking of a different analogy, mullet. Party in the back, business in the front.

I have mine set up to:
1. launch GPS when either car dock,beer map, foursquare, maps, navigation or places is launched and to turn it off when they exit.

Can you tell me how to do this or could you direct me to a profile or something? I am trying to get my phone to do the following:

when plugged into the Car Dock:
1) turn on GPS
2) turn on Bluetooth
3) turn off WiFi

When exiting the Car Doc, I want it to reverse those settings.

Am totally bewildered by Tasker

1. Go to Tasker, new profile (name it if u want)
2. Choose State; docked; (type: car) click done
3. new task; click the plus sign; misc; gps; set on; click done
4. click the plus again; net; bluetooth; set on; click done
5. click plus again; net; wifi; set off; click done
6. click done
7. now your new profile will be shown at the bottom, click the right hand side (says gps on, bluetooth on, etc..) task options comes up;
8. click "add exit task" ; new task; ok
9. click plus sign and add all of the same things as above, except with the opposite values (ie. gps off, bt off, wifi on) ;done

This should work, I don't have the car dock to test it with though. "thank" me if it helped.

Something like that but more on the "Green" spectrum. I work with NORML in my off hours.

What are some of the profiles you use? You don't have to give detail, just summarize what you have some of them do....

Moved my Tasker setup from an N1 to an Atrix on Thursday night..

In broad terms, my current profiles do the following:

1. Location tracking (cell based) - differentiate between Home, Work and 'Out'.

2. Activity tracking (calendar / time based) - switch between Default, In Meeting (work only), Driving, Navigating (using GPS based apps in car) and Asleep
Activities drive Tasker's control of volumes / vibrate / silent and certain other behaviours (loading Car Dock app when connected to my car bluetooth kit).
Activities also control call handling:
- Whitelisted callers for when I'm asleep (these trigger the ringer, the rest do not).
- On ending a call when driving either reload the Car Dock / redisplay the GPS based app
The driving mode pops a menu to give me the option of having SMS messages read aloud.

3. Location & weather detection and display - updating a linked Zoom widget using Latitude/Longitude fixes and reverse geocoding through Google's place and weather APIs.

4. Security - I have Locate, Lock and Alert profiles all of which can be triggered by SMS keywords. I also have a Lockdown app that triggers all 3 simultaneously.

Some of these are under review - I'm not happy with the stock Motorola car dock app or my current driving profiles
I developed these whilst using my N1, so I'm still reviewing their behaviour on the Atrix..

Anyone figure out how to enable GPS when the phone is placed in the car dock?
I also want to start/stop music when I place the phone in the dock. Anyone had any luck with this?
