Help TBolt screen cracked

AzKyle89

Lurker
Hey so I have a Thunderbolt and the screen cracked in my pocket. Any way I could get that warrantied out or am I SOL and have to claim that through insurance? Happened a while ago and I was just gonna live with it but its just annoying now. Pretty sure the invisible shield on my screen is the only thing holding the glass in place lol

Depends on where you got the phone and who the insurance is through.

If you bought your phone at BestBuy and you got the black tie insurance, just go to any bestbuy and get your new phone with no deductible.

If you got your phone somewhere else and have Verizon insurance, just contact Verizon and you should get a new one after you pay your deductible.

If you don't pay for insurance you are just out of luck. The manufacturers warranty only covers defects, not damage that you do to the phone.

Gah, alright thanks. I got it from Verizon and the insurance is through whoever their people is. $100 deductible to replace a cell phone is ridiculous

But it would be $500-$700 to replace it without insurance, so $100 isn't that bad when you think about it.

I see this all day long though, some people don't like it when I strongly recommend black tie insurance (even though at bestbuy we don't make commission). I hate to see people in your situation, it really is a bad spot to be in.

Yeah I never knew Best Buy offered that. Ive just always been all about buying my phones from Verizon directly. Now that I know, the next will definitely be bought there
