Root Team Black Hat Released

i downloaded the app. im going to wait until tomorrow to see what else pops up about the new froyo. ais the TBH folder only not appearing after froyo installation??

@D13 hows the froyo so far,sir?? (new froyo)

no difference yet that I can see, I was previously running flyx with nextheme, and I applied it and nothing happened except I lost the settings part of my theme, so I wiped system, data, and cache then mounted system and installed it. got stuck at the M so I did a battery pull and booted up to the new froyo, which I checked in the about phone. So I probably wasn't stuck at the M...just anxious


Edit: Oh yeah and I kept root

How large is the file of the Deodexed and Tranquility? It say my file is downloaded but rather fast it downloads and everytime I update through recovery it fails.

the froyo was 120 something and my tranquility keeps failing too, I check it and it says can't open and it completes right away in blackhat
 
i was going to get the fascinate but i heard bad things about the call quality so i waited and right when i waited this pops up and sadly i have to sbf because root fuc### up on 2.1 so sadface :(
 
Hey guys what happened to your folder when it disappeared after you rebooted? I'm not gonna reboot now until I find out what happens lol.

Its bugged for sure. I downloaded two files and did a backup with ROM manager and when it rebooted the folder and files were gone. Trying to re download them causes bad files. The new froyo downloads in like 2 seconds and that's not right . I did get Tranquility downloaded again and it looks normal but haven't tried installing yet.

well thats mildly disappointing to hear to say the least... especially after already buying it lol

I have been able to dl both the new build and tranq. Just did them one at a time and put them on. It was on my wifes phone but it looks like once I put her theme back on it went back to 2.3.13. I have not done it with my phone yet. Since I was working on doing somethings for her on her phone at the time she got it first.
 
The app is designed to clean its folder upon reboot of the phone, this is intentional. I will not say what we are trying to prevent but there is a real reason for it.

Thanks for donating to the team and look for something else new soon.

So it's a good idea then to move the files before rebooting if you're going to need them later? Might want to let people know that?

Its a small incremental update as evidence by the build numbers. There is a good chance you won't see anything. with that said I'm sure something was fixed whether or not you'll notice it is an entirely different thing.

You probably won't ever notice much until that 2.3 changes to 2.4 or even 3.0 ;)
 
New Tranquility - Tried it and hated it. I don't know why but every time I reset my phone all my widgets would fail to load and if I tried to put them back they were not on my widget list. This happen to anyone else? I am not upset with P3Droid over this either just could not deal with that bug.

I then downloaded the new FroYo 2.3.15 (I think that's right) it is already deodexed which is nice then I removed the bloat and so far no problems. When installing I even went as far as to Format System/Data/Cache because I wanted to be sure the new tranquility was GONE!!!

In my opinion go with the Froyo not the "Custom ROM" (I still hate that word we need to petition to have everyone alter their vocab and not call these things ROM's)

As far as the pay requirement to download the Team Black Hat App...WTF dude I have no issue donating to any on these guys for their work and plan to when I see this bootloader get cracked if it does (which I beleive it will) but hey charging for a Moto leak is illegal and messed up.

If you see this P3Droid I appreciate your work and hope to see more but REALLY?
 
Really dumb question, but i'm on rooted 2.2 ota and I bought the TBH app. I downloaded the froyo 2.3.15 deodexed from the app, trying to really just get deodexed again. Couple of noob questions: I can install this over the 2.2 OTA correct? Also, what are the steps that I follow to install the download? I've looked everywhere and can't find specific instructions. I assume it's probably clockwork recovery -> install from zip. Can anyone confirm? I'd greatly appreciate it.

When you say reset your phone what do you mean. If your wiping data widget never come back it's not a Tranquility thing its an Android Os thing.
Now if your just rebooting somethings wrong but I haven't heard of this before. All Tranquility does is remove as many Blurs apps as it can. So I'd just say you have something weird going on with your phone

To each his own I just put it back on today. No problems at all. It doesn't do a whole lot other than remove bloat adds a few apps and frees up space on system.

They charged for an app that they will be using to deliver other things like the r2d2 theme. Guess what? Downloading and Installing a Moto leak is also illegal.:cool:

But really what? you can't give them $2.00 for all their hard work and that they don't deserve anything unless they get the bootloader opened up?
I've seen this guy up all night trying to get stuff to us he's earned my 2.00 and then some. :eek:

You know I'm not really sure but I think you can. I would get the 2.2 system only sbf p3 made first and do a nandroid first though:D

To install you just go to clockwork recovery mount the system and then install zip from SD card.

LOL Never felt the need to do that before but for some reason ......

If you can clear up the part about installing it over the OTA first I think you'd be better off.
 
I downloaded team black hat and downloaded 2.3.15 deoxed and loaded it using the above instructions and it didn't change to deoxed when i go to system/app it still has the .odex any idea's
 
Ok here is my step by step i did. I went on team black hat and downloaded version 2.3.15 deoxed which saved to the root of my sd card, then i went to bootstrapper and then i went to rom manager into recovery mode mounted system and ran the zip file. It said complete so i restarted and went to root exsplore under system/app but it still says. Odex what did i do wrong?
 
Did you try flashing the R2D2 rom? This deodexed mine. Then you can flash back, or flash the rubiX rom. I did both and stayed deodexed both ways.

I never use Rom Manager. Koush's bootstrap recovery lets you do everything you need.
