Root [Team Osiris][ROM][Beta] Unofficial CM11

Oh for heavens sake, never mind. False alarm!

Just turned it off, than on, and held power and volume down for 8 or 10 seconds, and am back in recovery.

That's what happens when you rely on widgets.

Really need to get one of those personal defibrillators though. :o

I have noticed that voice commands do not work with the newer Google text to speech update.. ONLY stock seems to work with these ZTE devices no matter what I do.. that includes Sequent, the Force, and the 4G LTE

Unless you guys are doing something different... I ensure you I'm using google now voice commands flawlessly

Google now is perfect. New Google text to speech engine is what messes everything up on my phone including voice commands

Strange I've never had this problem before with downloading from you guys links (which I've done often. Lol) idk I'll try again later. Thanks! I can test the ROM too as soon as I get it to download

Wow. Great job guys. I was actually planning on trying to build my first android port. I don't really care about the bugs... It's just cool to have this already.

Drop box.com isn't working at all for me. Really upsetting

I usually use dev-host but my school network was acting stupid... Took an hour to upload and it's only 200mbs... I'm getting ready to test a new build in a few minutes... If all goes well I will have it uploaded to dev-host... Sorry for the inconvenience

Thanks and no haha sorry for being a pain in the *** but really thanks for the quick responses

No problem man... Just trying to cater to the end user... My entire reason for doing this is to show this device and its forum some love... It's a shame to see the sequent being outperformed by the original to such a large degree

Exactly there's so much support for it! Ive always had flagship phones from major companies when I downgraded to this phone I immediately looked up pacman. Only one rom for that. the original has way more support haha. So it means a lot. Kinda makes me excited. I've been looking everyday this

Yeah so my build doesn't boot... I think I know exactly why... Trying to fix it without doing a full rebuild which takes around 78 minutes Lol

I finally had a chance to play around a bit. I am really enjoying it. I feel like a kid in a candy store again...THANKS :)

Here are some observations:
Rom flashes great, gapps fails on set_metadata_recursive, which is after all the files have been extracted. I assume it is trying to set metadata for a file or files that don't exist. Anyway, play store works, gmail works (can't see the email due to the webkit issues mentioned earlier, but it opens and shows the email list), google now works with voice commands. Maps was a little finicky. Had to update google play services, then reboot to get it to open. Chrome refuses to open properly. It opens to a white screen, hangs, then fc's. Settings fc's if you go to settings, interface, notification drawer, enable "show in drawer", uncheck "linked layout", click on "tiles and layout", click on "add", choose torch. Torch is still added but settings fc's.

I believe the issues I'm having with web browsing is due to a graphics issue... This may be a bit more complex than I thought... Hopefully I'm wrong... Btw... There are many gapps packages that don't use the metadata crap... I'll find it and have it posted up soon

As for that fc I'll look into it eventually

MX Player does not make the video better. It worked on cm10, but it is still choppy on this one :(

Figures... I have a lot of work to do

Perhaps, but wow. It is so very nice. It is really smooth now that i have rebooted a few times. I am very excited to see BT and GPS working. Then it's daily driver time :D

GPS is probably something small... I haven't looked at it yet... Same for Bluetooth... This is my first device that I've worked on solo and I'm still learning the ropes as far as hardware goes... This past week has been a good learning experience... Glad you're enjoying it so far

Thank You for all you've done so far. I just have 1 problem I keep getting google FC after I installed the 2/14 build and the gapps.
Plese help

Thanks jetx2x for this rom, I really like it but I have one question. Is there a way to restore data from Super's rom after installing this rom or do I have to start off fresh?

You can use nandroid manager from the play store. Make sure you don't restore system apps and you should be good to go. You can restore data for the system apps that are already installed however.
