Root Test recovery for bricked phone

Well i have my phone working need some file still boot.bin, sbl.bin,sbl.bins and efs2 and modem, ltemodem i have a tar to try if your phone is bricked to test and mobileplay i let this in your hands you the man i need internet my comcast is down so you know pm to get this done. Please pm when you can mobileplay

Glad we have been able to get the phone up and running, I am sorry I haven't been on much, been working a lot again this week. I will be doing my best to find the last few files you need so we can get your phone up and working and hopefully get a good .tar so that everyone else can get theirs working again too. Hopefully I can work on it a little this week, definitly will be able to sunday, thats my day off :D
 
Mobileplay is a hard worker. If he gets this up and going you guys should definitely donate. He deserves it.

hey. i have a fully functional attain still (typing this on it actually) and on Sundays i have time while i work (cutting my grandfathers 5 acre yard means i got plenty) to try to dump files and upload to a drop box if you need.

just give me the commands and i will see what i can do.
check the thread making about a root for the attain for contact info.
 
Hey token check this website have commands I follow to dump files just change the of PART in the command I name the zimage with number like zimage1 zimage2 that way you just follow size of the file check the web site

I have most of the partitions, all the bml, but only 2 of the stl will pull. But I think that the bml are the partitions except bml1, stl10 is the factoryfs. If u pull the partitions factory reset the phone first so that people dont end up with all your accounts and info on their phone. If u want I should be able to get them uploaded tonight.

bml1 is encrypted :), I just checked it, is not use to pull that one, and yes is only 256kb.

EDIT:

It does nothing since even the repartition doesn't delete that one from the phone.

EDIT 2: lmaoo :P

I will make a post soon on how to make the Attain work again (At least for browse and play games) thanks to dadcup and mobileplay for their great help :D

from the images i saw his lte modem was screwed, a modem should be around 12.5mb's however i dont believe anyone has sucessfully pulled off a samsung format cdma radio using dd.. i know we couldnt on teh epic or the epic 4g touch

Yea, I've googled a bunch of methods to pull it but never had any success. Samsung knows they can complicate things.

Yep, only these files because we are successful pulling the others files, maybe they're encrypted like the bml1.
 
Ok this how it look when boot and then boot normal i dont know why
Maybe is the boot.bin if someone know let me know

Just got rid of my attain, couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy an esteem for $100. I still have all the partitions, all bml, a couple stl I was able to get, the ram, and other partitions. If anyone needs them, just pm me and I will get them to you.
 
bml are binary partitions the stl's are where fiesystems get mounted, the issue is its a mixture of craziness. for instance you can pull bml7 and its the param.rfs but corrupted, you have to pull stl7 (the stl's are mounted on the bml's

but for things like boot or modem or zImage you have to grab the BML :/. plus mmcblk0p1-5 is all another seperate set of partitions that you have to match up. as i warned early on this phone is a giant cluster ****. i spent hours trying to figure out what part whent where and what parts were left needing. im glad that people are at least able to get most of their phone functionality back :)
 
I believe I have the Mmcblk partitions as well, I know the bml partitions are on shabbys link, I will try to get a link posted to the others.
 
The only way that get my phone working was get it param.lfs from galaxy s firmware that why my Samsung log don't show :(
 
Well hell, I'm supposed to leave the attain soon for the motion. I probably won't be able to get the remaining partitions but ill try to finish the Pre-Mi rom before I leave, hopefully.
