Help Tested games on the E3D

If it's not a bug then what is it? I find it hard to believe that it is a hardware problem. What a waste of $3...from what they say in the description it looks like they don't plan on supporting these two devices at all in the future.

The funny thing is it works fine on my evo4g no crash. Lol. So it is a bug.
 
So is it the adreno or the qhd that not allowing some games to run properly? I bet all these games run on the SGS2 just fine.
 
It's the Adreno 220. SuperMangled mentioned in another thread that alot of games using the Unity engine are having the most problems, and Samurai II: Vengeance is one of the games that uses the Unity 3D engine.

Here is a reply I got from MADFINGER not too long ago:

"There is bug in the firmware, its not on our side .. I would be so happy to support them, but we are waiting for fix in it or if Unity can handle it somehow... "

Here's a list of games Phandroid made that use the Unity3D engine (If anyone has time to try out any of the games on that list it would be greatly appreciated).

The ones I have tested do not work correctly (all 3D games):
Samurai II: Vengeance
Castle Warriors
Air Attack HD
Cordy
 
So.... as far as games go, this is the basic statement I'm assuming:

The new graphics chip in the 3VO is almost too new for it's own good.



The only reason I say that, is it's gonna be awhile until/if things work properly.
 
So the OP stated that Pinball HD for Tegra, Galaxy on Fire 2 for Tegra and Riptide GP for Tegra all work for the E3D...so I tried to play Pinball HD but it will not run because it's not a tegra gpu. Or was I misunderstanding what it meant by saying "Graphically Awesome qHD Games"?

There may be something Unity can do to fix whatever is causing the problem, or it may be a problem with a driver HTC has put on these two devices.

Age of wind 2 is a unity game and I've had no issues with it yet...not sure what that means
 
Some of the reviews are saying that it freezes. I have several Unity games like Rocket Bunnies, Guerrilla Bob, Samurai II: Vengeance, Angry Viking and so on. They all "work" to some degree but freeze up at some point and you have to start over. I'll go buy Age of Winds 2 and see how that works for me. I've never heard of it, but it does look really cool. I'd love to see a port of the game Battleship: Surface Thunder (similar gameplay it appears).

EDIT: It crashes just like the rest. There are also some glitches that come and go (like masts that go to the sky or sails that extend out to the horizon).

I wasnt telling you to go buy it :( my bad......i played it a ton on my evo and it ran really well too....unity is a great engine I hope they fix this stuff...i wanna play this shooter coming out which was built on this engine......

blow up works fine, but shoot u is all jacked up graphically once you get past the menu. strange since its the same dev i think

and you should take air attack hd out of the "graphically awesome games" since it doesnt work :p

Ya, that game looks really cool. It comes out in September, so hopefully there is a fix before then.
 
Lets say they fix the Unity engine before August, how long do you think it'll take the game devs to install the upgraded unity engine into their games? Probably a while. So we're out of unity games for some time, I suspect.
 
If it's something they're willing to fix. They said they aren't going to make a work around if it actually is a driver problem on HTC's side.
 
well its looking like the updating is starting......galapagos released and update for Trials Extreme and it seems to no longer be freezing...this is a unity engine based game which is a huge step forward...i will leave it on the quasi-working section until i can play it more...any feedback from anyone also welcome
 
So out of the blue the original NOVA appeared in my games on the gameloft site when looking on my phone, I havent gotten any word from gameloft about it and the rest of the games are missing...the problem is its still the OG EVO one and the resolution is crap...but it runs well..:D
 
Ya, I can see it as well, and it shows my purchase date back in November too. I wonder if they are attempting to make them available for the new devices (with so many people calling in and emailing). Hopefully it is a "test" or something and that we get the 3D updates of the games we've already purchased (without having to call them every time they release a new one they've updated).

N.O.V.A.
Shadow Guardian
Star Front: Collision
Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus
Shrek Karting
Dungeon Hunter 2
Splinter Cell Conviction

N.O.V.A. is the only one that works, but it is not full screen. Modern Combat 2, Shrek Karting and Splinter Cell all said that they were not original copies of the game. Star Front, Dungeon Hunter and Shadow Guardian updated and licensed correctly, but they crashed after the opening movie.
