Help Tethering - Lg optimus gt 540

hi, is it possible, and if so how can i, tether my lg gt 540 so i can use it as a router?

You will have to have android OS version 2.1 on the phone before you can tether with your optimus. If you have 2.1, go to market and download the wifi tether application. Then turn on wifi tethering and your phone will now act as a wifi router.

i downloaded the barnacle app, but when i try and use it it says ''barnacle requires 'su' to access hardware! Please, make sure you have root access''

You have to root your phone aka enable root access.
