Help Text Delay!!!

Outlaw X8

Lurker
Xperia x8
Network: 02

Hello i have had my X8 a few weeks now and ever since I've had this thing ive been getting delayed texts.. they are delaying for random amounts of time and a lot of the time a phone call will make them come through.

I have been in contact with my network a few times and only thing they can think of it being is sim card needs exchanging.. now I've done that and i have the same problem.. also this is my second handset so i doubt I've had 2 faulty handsets right??..

If anybody has had same problems and fixed it or just knows what it could be I would appreciate what you have to say.

Hi,

I have never experienced delayed texts on my Xperia X8. But I have experienced it on my Nokia. It is either the phone or the network signal. And yes, I have had 4 faulty iPhone 4s in a row before Apple gave me one that is working properly. As long as your phone is new it is expected to work according to the specifications (it is a Consumer Right), so don't worry about changing handsets with O2.

If you live in a house that have network signal blind spots then you may experience these issues. My house has a network blind spot in the kitchen so there is no network signal although my phone may ring it will not connect the call or receive any text until I walk out of the kitchen to get better signal strength.

If your phone is constantly searching for a network signal or your phone signal strength is very weak in a particular location, it is probably a location specific network blind spot problem.

If your phone is constantly searching for a network signal or your phone signal strength is very weak everywhere you go, then it is a phone problem.

cheers :)
