text message balloons

Am I crazy or am I just thinking I saw a way to have the text messages to read like the iphone text ballons. I could have sworn I had mine doing that when I first got it or am I imagining it and just remembering my buddies iphone text messages on his.

Get Handcent or GoSMS and you'll be able to customize it anyway you want.
 
Sorry guys about the *phone comment. It was the only reference I could think of. These Commandos are heads above the *phones. My buddy and I have been working outside in the high 90 degree weather and the sweat and humidity pretty much rendered the *phone of my buddy's useless, meanwhile the Commando was loving the steam bath. Back to the issue, I figured it out it was the handcent that I had installed. I've uninstalled it already.
 
Has anyone figured out how to set two different notification sounds for
SMS and MMS?
This is a pretty standard feature on a basic phone,
but I haven't been able to find a way on this devise.
I was able to have separate sound for emails,
but nothing to distinguish between an incoming text vs incoming picture message.

I'm also wondering if there are any good apps for getting
a bigger picture icon for your contacts and favorite contacts.
Anyone have suggestions?
