Help Text Messages

Let me start by saying that I am new to Android and the forum:D
Now my question. Is there any way to have my text messages arranged in the order of the conversation not I said - they said.
I have found a workaround for everything else please tell me how to fix this:confused:

On all my other phones the text messages were displayed as.
sent
recieved
sent
recieved
and so on but with the Evo they are
sent
sent
sent
recieved
recieved
recieved
This makes it very hard to follow the conversation you had with the person.

I'm really not getting what you are saying. In the stock message and any messaging app, it lists your convos in a threaded form.

Person A
Person B
Person C
etc
etc

Then in each thread it shows the messages in order with showing your sent message along with the received message from that person with all the newest messages at the bottom and the older messages at the top of the convo.

He is saying his are not working right. I've yet to see this on any of our evos. Backup impotant messages and clear the data by going to menu settings applications. Manage find messages clear data.

Personally I use handcent

I really dont know how you are getting that. On my evo, when I open up a person's text thread, they are ordered by time sent and time received. So for a normal conversation I get:
sent
received
sent
received

Mine is doing the same thing as tiggers. I followed the steps that Mr. Ed put up, now we'll see if it worked. In the mean time, could someone tell me their pros and cons about hansent. Thanks.

OK I just checked mine and here's what it's doing;

Sent by me @ 8 pm
Received from brother @ 1:30 am the next day. Although it was only ten minutes later.

So, the question is how do I sync the times so that they gee ha with each other?

As long as the times are messed up it will always show do what its been doing.

you actually got it ten minutes later? or he sent it ten minutes later and you got it at 1:30 am?

I actually got it 10 minutes later. I sent it like 8 pm, but it said that the received time was at 1:30 am

this really sounds like it is an issue with the network, not your phone.

when is the last time you updated your prl and profile?

I updated the PRL yesterday. Not sure what you mean by updating my profile. I've only had this phone for 2 weeks and it's been doing it ever since it then.

Update profile...the option right above Update PRL

The timestamp issue is Sprint problem. It's happened to many people, myself included, too many times to count. Sprint can't ever offer a solution other than to hard reset the phone only to find it's the same issue again. I found the problem is also worse if your on roaming. The timestamp will be 12hrs off!

Thanks for the info. Is there a work around for it?

I really appreciate all the help yall.

not sure if you have found a fix for this yet. but I found an app being a sprint customer care rep and dealing with this problem every other day on the evo. you can actually dl an app that fixes the timestamp its called "SMS Time Fix" just dl the app and go into it and set the time for however many hours it is ahead or behind. only fix that I have found so far. hope that helps... i am sure this has been posted before though. I actually think I read that somewhere on here before.

Thanks man. I DL'd that app and so far it seems to be working ok. Wish Sprint would do something to fix it if it's a known problem.

If you are in a low coverage area or tend to roam a lot this can cause issues with the send and recieve time for messages. I notice this from experience.
