Help Text Messaging Problems

I noticed a couple weeks ago that attachments (pictures) would never actually down load when people sent them via text.

This morning a friend was texting me and it wasn't really making sense so I restarted my phone and i got a bunch of texts out of order but still no pictures.

It does not seem to matter where I am or how strong the signal is the pictures never seem to down load.

I was reading these other threads but I wasn't sure if this is service issue or a software issue?

I was kind of hoping to just maybe get a better ap to handle the texting.

That is what it says under SW version

I see the thread on the update to ZVC, I have not had the problem with the phone rebooting randomly, I think I heard it reboot in my pocket once or twice in the last 5 months, but that could have been from something pressing down on the buttons?

I guess there is no down side to the update on a stock phone?

Ares you using the stock messaging app or did you download one?

Check your settings and click on download images automatically. Make sure The image size is 1m. I've heard of phones having problems with a higher res setting.
 
Well I have not tried to find much less change the down load automatically Setting yet, but I turned 4g on and hit download on a picture someone sent me the other night and it started an avalanche of sending and receiving. Apparently I had a back log of stuff. So a bunch of uploads and downloads have been exchange out of order which is going to make for some interesting conversations but I think it is safe to say that the text messaging depends on 4g to push and pull attachments.

I was wrongfully assuming that Wifi and the regular cell signal would traffic the attachments.

I am using the stock messaging software, I have not found the setting to automatically download attachments.
 
My attachments are going through now, but I am getting duplicate texts from people and some of my txts that I send never seem to arrive.
