Help texting issue

in the last few days my out going text messages are taking 30-45 seconds to "go out". Normally this takes 5 seconds Max. I have tried multiple text apps all with the same results. also have cleared data and cache. any ideas?

Wow...that is a little strange...

When you send the text, does the texting app say "Sent at hh:mm" and take a while to actually be received by the recipient?

Or does it not say the "Sent at" thing? (my stock SMS app will time-out pretty quick if it doesn't have a signal and will say "not sent" or something).

You could run a logcat and watch the debugging messages that are being produced when you do this to see if that pin-points the issue.
