Root Texting Issues

Last two days issues with texts being delayed being sent, or not sent at all. Have done the usual : Rebooted, pull battery, check number of texts and clear out some old ones.

Contacted CS concerning this and they claim no issues with the towers in this area. Contacted Sprint and they were more helpful. They asked for specifics, and checking coverage issues in areas since there are three towers nearby.

Any ideas? Running CM7 Backside 20120502.032319 build. No issues with ROM since I upgraded from previous version. Running Z4 Baseban. Haven't had any major issues with phone since May 2011.
 
It might be a problem on VM side.
If not sure, restore a backup from before you installed your current build or flash a Froyo ROM like Harmonia (everything works for sure) and see if it improves things.

I'll give that a shot. Had a friend with the same phone (non-rooted) do a drive around the area and I compared signal strength, text etc. Was fine until we entered my neighborhood. Seems everything in a two block area there has a bit of issues. Sprint is checking it out.

Interesting that it would have an effect on texts but not voice...

It messes with voice as well. I text more than use voice, so I did not notice any issues in that regard.

Area around the zone is -79dBm. Inside the zone-89dBm to -98dBM with spikes to -121dBm
 
Sprint as of today stated the info I provided to them that there is definitely something interfering with signal. They've asked about any construction going on. Hasn't been any in six months.

Good to know they've officially acknowledged there is an issue...
