ok ive been through 2 evos, i have my 3rd which was giving me probs so sprint was advising me to claim a warranty for a fourth, so i was about to either drop sprint & or buy a new phone. I had been on the fence w rooting and since i had pretty much given up w my evo, i gave in to some pushes from a few members & rooted. and its AWSM. it pretty much gave my phone new life. shoulda done this a while ago. So thank you android forums, those who wrote the guides, and those 2 members who gave me my last needed incentive (you know who you are :P ). i will keep my evo until...um... a true successor comes?

moved you to the rooting section since you are now newly rooted.

i'm very glad you rooted your phone, now you will get to see what kind of a beast the evo can be. it is a shame the sprint and htc has limited the evo. but now you will see a whole new world open up for you. if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

whoa! didn realize how much space nandroid backups take! i'm so glad i bought a new card.

yeah they can take up a lot of room. that is why i only keep two on my card. i keep one i really like and then i keep the most recent one. i would make sure that you have at least one nandroid backup with wimax backed (4g) not only backed up on your computer but also on the cloud like dropbox.

what size and class card did you get?

16gb class 10

Oh nice you should look into partitioning your card. You can have way more apps and have them on the card. There is a section in the guide on how to do this.
