Just wanted to say thank you to everyone here. I didn't say much (in fact, i think this is my first post), but without your helpful posts on rooting (and my favorite thread, "Let's See your UI Layout!"), I wouldn't have discovered how much fun Android is to play around with.

I had full intentions of keeping my rooted Eris until my contract was up in October, but the screen randomly cracked. I talked VZW into letting me upgrade early.

Another reminder that this is possible. No refurbs? I would probably try for the Incredible but my Eris has no intention of dieing.

You can kill it with jealousy by setting it next to your new Fascinate.

Just kidding. Sort of. Over in the Fascinate forums you'll see the longest thread there, a mega-thread actually, is one with users expressing anticipation/anxiety over the upcoming 2.2 update to the device.

As with the Eris last year, rumors and weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth abound, despite a non-root method/download of installing Froyo to the Fascinate.

It's quite the deja vu thread for those of us formerly with the Eris.
